What this role is

The Job Club Champion supports delivery at WO Consultancy's weekly job clubs. They are the welcoming presence in the room — meeting people at the door, helping them feel at ease, supporting the lead facilitator, and helping community members navigate the session. This role is about people, not computers.

Who we're looking for

A genuine people person — warm, approachable, patient. Someone who enjoys community spaces and talking to people. No advanced computer skills required. Reliable, committed, and comfortable in a community setting. Lived experience of job searching or employment challenges is a real asset — not required.

What you'll do

  • Welcome and register attendees

  • Support with basic tasks — printing, finding job sites, navigating forms

  • Signpost people to CV help, digital support, and wellbeing referrals

  • Help maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere

  • Feed back to the lead facilitator

  • Represent WO Consultancy's values: open, non-judgemental, community-first

Where you'll volunteer

Across the WO job club network — Enfield Town Library (Tuesdays), Edmonton Green Library (Wednesdays), NYCC Edmonton (Mondays and Thursdays), Space4 Finsbury Park (Fridays). Matched to your nearest or most convenient location.

Training provided

Job Club Champion induction: WO model and values, how sessions run, safeguarding basics, handling sensitive situations, signposting and referral pathways, data and privacy essentials.
