What this role is
The Digital Inclusion Champion supports WO Consultancy's digital skills workshops and job club digital inclusion sessions. They work alongside the lead facilitator to provide hands-on, patient digital support to community members — from absolute beginners to those building intermediate skills.
Who we're looking for
Confident using computers, smartphones, and everyday technology. Patient, calm, non-patronising. Able to explain tech in plain, accessible language. Reliable and committed to regular volunteering. Experience in IT or digital roles is welcome — not required.
What you'll do
Support participants in digital skills workshops — 1-to-1 or in small groups · Help with practical tasks: email setup, job sites, uploading documents, NHS services, smartphone use · Support delivery of Digital Concierge sessions (task-based, one-to-one help) · Assist with setting up and packing down the Mobile Digital Suite · Feed back on participant progress and learning needs
Where you'll volunteer
Across WO's digital inclusion workshops and job clubs. The Mobile Digital Suite means sessions take place across multiple venues — libraries, community centres, estates, and partner spaces.
Training provided
Digital Inclusion Champion induction: WO's digital inclusion model, supporting different confidence levels, safeguarding and data privacy (critical for Digital Concierge sessions), explaining tech without jargon, and an introduction to WO's 41-course catalogue.
What you get
