Empowering Communities Through Practical Digital Skills and Confidence
The Digital Futures Programme, designed and delivered by WO Consultancy in partnership with STEPS (Enfield Council), was created to address the growing gap in digital confidence among underrepresented residents in Enfield. It focuses on supporting those furthest from the job market by providing practical, culturally relevant, and accessible learning in the heart of the community.
What Sets Our Work Apart
At WO Consultancy, we don’t run traditional training courses — we design experiences that meet people where they are, both emotionally and geographically.
Our approach includes:
• Flexible delivery, shaped around school hours and caring responsibilities
• Cohort-based learning, which fosters trust and peer encouragement
• Safe and local venues, removing barriers to access
• Ongoing support, with continued job search and digital help via our weekly Job Clubs
• Representation matters, with culturally inclusive facilitation and design
And now, with our Mobile Digital Learning Suite, we can deliver this high-quality support anywhere with a plug socket. Our fully equipped, portable classroom includes brand new laptops, tablets, smartphones, Wi-Fi hotspots, a projector and secure charging station, ensuring no participant is left behind.
Topics We Cover
The programme explores essential real-world digital skills and employability tools, including:
• Using computers and online tools confidently
• Navigating the internet and protecting your safety online
• Understanding social media and how employers use it
• Managing smartphones and tablets for everyday tasks
• Using QR codes safely and avoiding scams
• Writing CVs and cover letters with the help of AI tools like ChatGPT
• Preparing for interviews using proven methods like STAR
Who We Reach
Our participants are referred through frontline advisors and local partners, often including:
• Parents and carers returning to work
• People over 50 seeking new opportunities
• Residents with English as a second language
• Individuals who feel left behind in an increasingly digital world

• Many go on to access our Job Club for CV help, applications, and interviews
